CADENA MONTE, S.L.U. has implemented the Improved Energy Efficiency of External Openings Project at its Monte Triana Hotel.

The total investment approved by the Award Decision was €103,786.79 and it benefited from a grant of €31,136.04 from the Programme for Energy Retrofit of Existing Buildings (PAREER II), co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) within its Operational Programme for Sustainable Growth 2014-2020, managed by IEA and drawn from the National Energy Efficiency Fund, with the goal of a cleaner and more sustainable economy.

The project improved the energy efficiency of the building on the carbon dioxide emissions scale from Band D to Band C, leading to an annual greenhouse gas emissions reduction of 0.7 kg of CO2 per square metre of the building’s floorplan. The project involved replacing the existing windows and balcony doors with other more efficient ones.

The Guarantee of Origin is an accreditation that ensures that a certain amount of electricity is obtained from renewable sources. At Hoteles Monte we have obtained it in the period from June 2019 to June 2020.
